Take no notice of these suggested sites they can be of little help. I did some investment in Forex for £2,5000, and lost all of it over a period or 1 year. The commission on some deals was £150. some times i earned a lot, and sometimes lost a lot. It was fun because i could stand the loss. I have a large portfolio trading in the London Stock excange. my advise is keep away from it. Invest in stocks it is cheaper and safer. |

Forex is very liquid it moves very fast. You CAN make money trading it I do daily. You just need the proper education to make sure you don't lose you invested capital. The big difference with the forex and stock markets are even on a down swing with forex you can make money but in stocks you can control what happens. I know you said no sites so I am not going to post one, but my company does Forex Education and can help you. If you want the site just message me. |

Anyone who tells you that you can't make money in the stock market in a down economy is either lying, or extremely uneducated. If you short sell a stock, you make money when the price goes down. Forex isn't the most risky form of investment out there. It takes a lot to be successful though. I've taken classes in International Banking and International Finance, and I'd say they're extremely helpful in understanding this sort of international activity. One thing you should know before you dive in... the more actively you trade anything (and forex really requires one to be very active), the larger the percentage of anything you may win (or lose) gets lost to commission. The low commission fees may fool you at first, but they REALLY add up and force you to be that much better than your competition. When trading forex, you'll be up against better competition on average than in the stock market. Although Supply and Demand plays a large factor in the changing prices of all the various currencies, unlike the stock market, it's not the only factor. A huge understanding of central bank activity (especially the powerful central banks like the Fed, UK, Germany, etc...) is crucial if you are to win. |

Yes, of course you can make money with Forex, if you couldn't then plain and simply the Forex market wouldn't exist as we know it today since around 95% of all transactions are speculation (buying/ selling expecting the price to move up/ down). So it's not a myth, it is possible and I'm doing it. I see people in here commenting on commissions per trade on Forex, I don't know what that is, the broker I'm using do not charges a commission, the brokers usually make their profit with the spread (difference between the bid and the ask price). Maybe in some countries you have to pay commissions or something, but I would recommend to go and find a broker that doesn't charge you for trading. Happy trading. |
